Darrell Finley (born December 18, 1985) better known by his stage name, Alyric, is an up coming rapper, born and raised in Miami, Florida. Alyric has always exuded his love for the arts, mainly poetry, music and chess. He realized his talent for creating music at the early age of 12 years old, yet, continued to explore and perfect the range of his talents through optimist football, basketball, and track-and-field.
As Alyric matured, he connected with a neighborhood friend, Perle (Duce Pound) and eventually formed Duce Pound Music Group, which also consisted of Sli-Bo, 2 Slick and his cousin D-Capital. The alliance created a volatile force that was ablaze to etch a mark in the music industry. In 1998 Trap House Studios was formed and this quintet of young raw talent began to gain local notoriety igniting a community of loyal supporters and “hood representers”.
Alyric is currently working on a succession of albums starting with The Cover Up (completed), Self Employed (completed), Entrepreneur, 6 Figure Nigga, and ending with Billionaire; while simultaneously crafting and releasing other projects such as Keep It Street and Good Die Young mixtapes. He has attained radio success with singles such as “PussyKat”, “That’s Insane”, “Hot Music (Remedy f/ Alyric)” and most recently “Bounce Dhatt A**”. Awarded “Best Male Grinder” in the 2011 Best in Dade Awards, Alyric is a tenacious individual who represents for all of those that could or would have made it, but fell short of their dreams.
